Role Summary/Purpose
The Sales General Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objective with commercial leadership for CMS (Chemical & Monitoring Solution) China organization of Water and Process Technology business. In this role you will integrate and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a sizable and competent team of sales, services, and commercial supporting functions to secure profitable business across the China region, with working closely with the broader Water local and global leadership team
• Develop and implement actionable sales strategies and growth initiatives, identify and develop opportunity pipelines to drive profitable volume growth in all industries.
• Execute on assigned operating plan and targets to assure that business wins profitable and productive service sales
• Meet or exceed operational requirements by regular rigor rhythm which includes analytical reporting, session of people reviews, operating reviews, and cost etc.
• Build influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers
• Build customer relationships for the purpose of Business development and Sales
• Develop customer strategies, campaign plans, and leadership in their execution
• Integrate information, resources, and activities within the China region and/or among global regions
• Responsible for customer satisfaction, evaluation, plans, and follow through
• Demonstrate commercial and technical expertise in specific market
• Direct the sales team to identify and develop opportunities driving growth
• Attract, retain and develop commercial talent and succession planning.
• Lead a culture of Integrity, Quality, and EHS.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or above, chemical or related major is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of field sales experience, with solid sales leadership experience and proven performance.
• Strong industry/commercial domain experts to develop the business growth and winning strategy
• Good experience in water process industry, knowledge in specialty treatment chemicals is a plus.
• Outside in mindset. Ability to articulate customer needs, and clear thinker,
• Effective people / team management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills ...ability to respect and to deal with a diverse team.
• Strong communication skills and confidence with executive level presentations in both English and Mandarin
