Job Function (based on Senior Statistician):

1. Seen as a project leader on key initiatives.
2. Work with the project team to decide on appropriate and accurate study design and statistical
methodology.
3. Responsible for statistical section in the protocol, the statistical analysis plan, case report form
(CRF) design, and comprehensive protocol review.
4. Responsible for implementation of the planned methodology.
5. Responsible for the accuracy of statistical results in both regulatory submission and publication.
6. Responsible for validity of alternative analysis strategies when changes to planned analyses are
needed.
7. Coordinates and leads the work of the section in multiple project areas ensuring that statistical
support meets regulatory needs.
8. Provide accurate and timely answers to routine questions from clients, and scientific insight
when answering nonstandard questions.
9. Effectively and persuasively presents statistical concepts and arguments to management,
regulatory agencies, scientists and nonscientists.
10. The person to be hired will also act as a liaison between US and China teams.
11. Provide formal training to non-statisticians both internally and externally.


Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master's degree in statistics/biostatistics with 1-4 years of experience or
a PhD with 1-2 years of experience is required. Solid understanding of statistical concepts and
methodologies is required. Relevant experience in conducting clinical study design, statistical analyses of
clinical data and preparation of regulatory submissions is preferred. Experience using SAS/BASE and
SAS/STAT is preferred. Experience with other statistical software, such as SPSS and R, is a plus. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills (in both English and Mandarin Chinese) and the ability to work
in a fast paced, dynamic environment are required. Experience in cardiovascular field is a plus. The
ability to work independently and with a team is required.
