Lenovo’s Ecosystem & Monetization (E&M) organization is looking for a candidate that will have technical ownership of 3rd party SW components and drive development and lifecycle activities with the 3rd party SW vendors. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams, such as development, product engineering, manufacturing, test, among others.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Deliver SW components from 3rd party SW vendors to Windows 7/8 projects on schedule and with high quality. This includes packaging and module test of the vendors’ deliverables to ensure that the product installs and operates as designed.
• Investigate root cause, track to closure and perform lessons learned for assigned defects through the products lifecycle. The component owner is the liaison between the client's quality team and the SW vendor and is responsible for providing information to the vendor so they can address the defects.
• Work with Lenovo’s product assurance team to assess severity and prioritize defects.
• Maintain and communicate SW delivery schedules.
• Technically assess and recommend software for new projects within PDCP checkpoint timeline
• Provide technical advice during contract negotiations

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree; computer discipline or technical background preferred
• Minimum six years’ experience
• PMP certification or Candidate for certification
• SW development and/or software lifecycle experience
• Proven strong leadership; ability to manage others, multiple, complex projects simultaneously and to meet aggressive schedules
• Strong Communicator: Excellent written, oral and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of team and management
• Demonstrates independent, proactive thinking
• Demonstrates flexibility for ad-hoc assignments
• Ability to work effectively with wide range of individuals across a diverse and global community
• Ability to utilize data to influence decisions when presenting to ODTs and E&M management forums.
• Support software compliance processes and ensure that risks are mitigated.
• Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Work schedule flexibility required to accommodate working with global community
• Some travel may be required (minimum 10%)
• CET 6 and/or TEM8 English Requirements
