Position Description:
Lenovo industrial design is to create and develop concepts that optimize the aesthetics, usability, function and value of Lenovo products. Integrated system offerings and a coherent Brand Identity are reflected in a consistent visual language and excellence in design signals the quality, engineering and reliability of our products. You will work with a group of very talented and highly motivated designers and engineers in Lenovo China and the United States.

Main tasks include:
- Generate industrial design concepts for Lenovo storage products in early product development stage, with considerations of human ergonomics, branding, manufacturing, material usage and cost. Create ID concepts by sketches, 2-D drawings, 3-D renderings, and other graphic materials as required. Sometimes, you will need to develop early phase foam models by using industrial shop tools.
- Work with mechanical engineers and other teams to make ID concepts workable and feasible
- Work with Human Factors to improve usability for Lenovo storage products
- Review prototypes and recommend improvements to meet ID requirements
- Participating in creative brainstorms, concept development and refinement.
- Understanding and utilizing various production methods and materials.

Position Requirements:
Skill Required：
- Industrial design or related background with strong interest in hardware development work
- excellent 2D and 3D skills, including hands-on creative design using rapid visualization techniques, sketching, graphic design applications and CAD tools (such as CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Rhino and/or ProE, Keyshot) to prepare scale drawings of designs, shop tools and prototyping tools.
- Good written and oral communication skills. Presentations, preparing and executing design reviews with teams, with fluency in written and spoken English
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing technology, mechanism and materials in evaluating the feasibility of production.

Education and Experience:
- The candidate will have a Bachelor or Master degree in Industrial Design. The candidate will have 3 to 6 years industrial design related working experience. Experience in IT hardware development is desired.
- Experience of working with OEM and ODM suppliers or international brands is a plus.
