Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Bio-process Engineer demonstrates expertise in developing novel Bio-treatment and Bio-process in tough to treat industrial waste water segment. Position duties include working with cross functional teams to develop bench scale process, translate lab design into pilot scale to validate robust performance, in order to meet both short-term project goals and long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Investigate microbial and biochemical functionality involved in the waste water biological treatment
• Develop innovative Bio-treatment solutions for industrial waste water treatment and reuse.
• Lead the transition of technology concept to a viable process solution.
• Validate Bio-process design to the specified applications
• Layout piloting test plan and supervise daily operation
• Drive the execution on new technology introduction (NTI) and new product introduction (NPI) projects in a timely manner
• Assess and validate market needs and driving factors. Consistently used technology to show customers product innovation.
• Generate new ideas according to market needs and initiate new NPI/NTI projects

Qualifications/Requirements

• MS and above in Biology, microbiology, biochemical engineering, environmental Engineering or equivalent with in depth understanding of biological waste water treatment process, microbiology, and waste water chemistry.
• 3+ yrs industrial experience on biological waste water treatment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design, construct, modify, and operate bench/pilot scale biological reactors.
• Extensive experience transferring technology concept to commercial applications
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve aggressive goals and targets, embrace change and technology evolution as an opportunity
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent English communication skills (job requiring regular communication with US, Canada, and other countries)
• Excellent problem solving skills - ability to consider overall problem, identify opportunities and implement major changes
• Team oriented, self-starter, independent thinker, proactive problem solver
• Strong environmental, health and safety ethics

• 具备生物,微生物,生物化工,环境工程或相关学科的硕士及以上学历,对污水处理中的生化过程,微生物,和水化学有深入的专业知识和理解.
• 三年以上的工业污水处理,尤其是生化处理的工作经验.
• 熟悉各种生物反应器的构造, 能够根据生化工艺需求,独立完成中试设备的选型,放大,设计,安装,和运行
• 有实际技术开发并商业化的经验
• 具有一定的研发项目管理能力,设计实验方案, 制定积极的目标, 根据变化和机会灵活决策
• 优异的英语读写能力,能进行效地口语交流
• 卓越的独立思考和积极判断,能随时解决突发事件.
• 具有较强的团队沟通和协调能力
