Essential Responsibilities

• Drive Localization to meet business (PG China) objective.
• Working with partner and business to make localization plan based on business (PG China) objective.
• Working with partner to identify scope split between partner and suppliers including qualified suppliers or new suppliers.
• Leverage supplier base with partner including sharing supplier information, support commercial negotiation with GE suppliers, support qualification….
• Tracking Localization program with partner and report to business (PG China) for any additional support may need.
• Coordinating with Global sites including different functions to arrange necessary resources to support localization based on localization schedule.
• Work with sourcing teams to qualify new suppliers.
• Develop more sourcing opportunities for GE Global sourcing.

• Support Innovation Center and Thermal Engineering for any cost down opportunity including new design, new process and new supplier etc….
• Build documentation system with partner to tracking all material for each project to avoid missing supplied material information as before.
• Build up cost Handbook for PG China with finance support.
• Support other team including TTA, Products Line, ITO and OTR…

Qualifications/Requirements

- BS/MS Engineering Degree.
- 5 years or more on hands-on experiences in larger power generation component manufacturing
- Strong project management skills – set up and track milestones, facilitate progress resourcefully. Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience preferred.
- Work experience in Gas Turbine on steam turbine design , manufacturing, assembling or testing is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills: background in interpretation of blueprints/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/ evaluation.
- Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment.
- Passion for excellence with high integrity, commitment to quality, fluent in oral and written in English, is willing to take frequent travel.
