职位描述

Position Description:
The General Procurement organization is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing spend for all non-production goods or services used internally by Lenovo. It includes 9 major operating expense categories: Marketing Communications, IT Services, Real Estate, Travel, Workforce, Business Services, Site Services, HR Services, and R&D Services. The General Procurement team is responsible for leading the following activities for Lenovo:
1. Working with business unit/budget owner (our internal Lenovo stakeholders), on appropriate spending strategy, including industry best practices, category/market trend analysis, and supplier capabilities;
2. Appropriately selecting Supplier sources based on driving competitive sourcing activities;
3. Forming contracts with selected Suppliers to help ensure both deliverables and risk avoidance;
4. Managing Supplier performance via stakeholder feedback and performance-based metrics;
5. Ensuring appropriate business controls are in place to protect Lenovo.

As a Regional Procurement Sr. Specialist, this candidate will be responsible for sourcing, managing, and optimizing the purchase of goods and services on all indirect buys for with primary spend on Marketing Communications. He/she should have experience in the related field and the desire to engage Lenovo’s internal stakeholders with superior procurement support, working with our Global Commodity Managers (GCM’s) to leverage worldwide spend on strategic categories.

The candidate will be responsible for five (5) primary business metrics:
1. Manage and optimize Lenovo’s Spend with external suppliers, generating Procurement Value-Add (Savings and Cost-Avoidance) for Lenovo;
2. Drive Customer Satisfaction (Serviceability) for our internal Lenovo executives and operations teams through Supplier selection and engagement;
3. Ensure adequate Business Controls are in place surrounding sourcing, contracts, spending, and supplier management;
4. Drive best practices and transformation activities to ensure continuous improvement;
5. Initiate procure-to-pay processes on non-strategic purchases to improve procurement efficiency.


Position Requirements:
The selected candidate will exhibit the following abilities:
1. Analytics -- Perform competitive bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis and scenario modeling;
2. Problem solving – Ability to understand objectives, identify obstacles, initiative root cause analysis, mitigate risk, and develop and implement recommendations for alternative solutions;
3. Negotiation -- ability to conduct fact-based negotiations with Suppliers at senior levels;
4. Business maturity -- Ability to drive sound decision making, prepare and present business presentations, and summarize status to senior/executive leaders;
5. Industry Acumen – Knowledge and experience in Marketing related field or equivalent
5. Team -- Ability to communicate, collaborate, and drive work successfully within a matrix team environment;

Requirements:
1. Previous Indirect Procurement experience is required;
2. Professional experience in Brand Marketing or Marketing/Communications spend management is highly desirable;
3. Minimal qualifications include a BS or BA degree in a related field;
4. MBA candidates are preferred, particularly with business experience in a related field.
