Essential Responsibilities
• Sell and promote GE Distributed Power products focused on 1)Aero gas turbine New unit/Package and 2) Aero gas turbine Services
• Be responsible for achieving and exceeding orders, revenue and contribution margin target in support of the China sales plan
• Own existing customers (end customer, EPC, designing institute, engineering firms etc.) relationship and generate new potential customers for power generation and CHP segment; Interface directly with the customer base (incl. presentations, trades & fairs, conferences)
• Identify and evaluate the customers & project needs and specifications, lead and work with other functional teams to provide budgetary proposal including originating, structuring, negotiating and closing the Aero gas turbine New unit/Package and Services opportunities including long term service agreement (CSA)
• Recommend and support go-to-market strategy decisions and growth-ideas, gather market information and competitive intelligence
• Work with other internal functions including Commercial Operation, Application Engineering, Product Management, Commercial Finance, Project Management and Service etc. to deliver the order and sales plan
• Support CHD (Huadian) Joint Venture sales team to develop, promote and win DECHP opportunities across China
• Provide competitive Win/Loss data
Qualifications/Requirements
• Technical and/or Commercial educational background and experience
• >5 years direct sale/commercial/technical experiences of complex technical products and projects
• Knowledge of the local power generation market and culture
• Strong customer orientation, external focus, result oriented and can-do attitude
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Team spirit
• Good analytical skills
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Willingness to extensive travel (70% of the working time)
• Based in south China (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen)
