Job Responsibilities:
The business development manager is responsible for developing new business sales opportunities and driving key sales initiatives for the GPG in the region, in accordance with the regional and global BU strategy
o Business development
- Identify and quantify potential business opportunities by market and product, through interaction with customers and LSU:s; utilizing market surveys, white spot analysis, cross-BU selling opportunities, best practices by market, etc tools
- Define and drive Growth Plans in target markets in close cooperation with the LSU:s and the Global BU Marketing & Sales organization
- Realize selected opportunities by identifying and following up relevant initiatives with necessary actions, in cooperation with the ASM and local PMM
o Training and market presence
- Conducts or facilitates necessary training to key sales staff and product marketing team in the LSU:s
- Push and support sales people together with the ASMs.
o Internal collaboration & co-ordination
- Between PRU:s, PU:s and the LSU:s on product and technical support, training, etc
- Within the GPG on strategy, market intelligence, products, resources, and with BU Sales on strategy and commercial aspects
o Communication & documents
- Develops the business development strategy in the region in cooperation with the ASM, and outlines the main growth initiatives in Growth Plans
Job Requirements:
o University degree, preferably in engineering
o Good knowledge of low voltage products(technically and on product applications)
o Knowledge of Control Products and/or Safety Products is a plus
o Minimum of 5 years’ experience of low voltage products, in a market-driven role
o Background in Product Management/Marketing & Sales and an international working experience is a plus
o Willingness to travel extensively (50%)
o Proactive, persuasive and with ability to lead informal teamsGood interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills
o Business oriented and service minded with analytical skills and problem solving abilities
o Ability to work well with limited direct supervision
o Fluent written and oral communication in English
o Mandarin Chinese language ability is a strong plus
