职位描述
PURPOSE OF POSITION
? The Sales Manager has accountability for sales decisions and direction for the China Customer account, with the purpose of the role to deliver growth in sales and profitability, and to position the company as a strategic customer partner across the regions.
? The role will also provide input into the development of sales strategies and build a coordinated sales approach with a target of tripling the current retail dairy business within three years while reaching target profit levels.
? This role will also responsible for leading the development and delivery of creating a leading market position with key strategic retail customers (starting with Walmart China) and developing the business via distributor/internet channels.
? Operational marketing initiatives and deliverables through effective leadership across all areas of the country activation working closely with the respective category group (starting with Dairy) – pricing, promotion, communication, customer insights and helping the category develop the winning innovation and branding.
? Mutually beneficial business plans to create exponential growth of the China market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Strategy
? Develop and implement annual sales business plans for China market.
? Delivery of customer strategy and ensure business wide understanding of company strategy with the customer.
? Communicate a vision and strategic plan that engages the RFS sales team. Drive achievement of that plan.
? Identify key profitable growth opportunities and develop plans to deliver against these.
? Communicate and drive strategic plans which establishes mutually agreed objectives and execution plans with the customers
? Develop pricing models in conjunction with the customer marketing team that leverage company full portfolio.
? Develop plans that deliver volume and margin targets
? Communicate a vision and strategic plan that engages the sales & marketing team and drives delivery and achievement of that plan.
? Identify key profitable growth opportunities and develop plans to deliver against these.
Operational Effectiveness
? Develop and manage pricing guidelines for National Accounts.
? DIFOT to target
? Ensure marketing and promotions strategies are developed and implemented
? All customer pricing is within company guidelines and adheres to signoff procedures.
? Align retail product pricing strategy with Dairy category team
? Sales and Operations Planning, Sales and Marketing Activity execution plan delivered
? NPD forecasts and ranging targets for National Accounts.
? Identify key customer requirements and opportunities and develop plans to resolve / satisfy / capitalise. Regularly review plans with key account contacts.
? With Channel Marketing, co-develop and implement point of purchase plan focusing on category development specifically relating to ranging, promotional programs, pricing strategies, in line with business plans to optimise business profitability and maximize effectiveness
? Sales and Operations Planning, Sales and Marketing Activity execution plan accurate, delivered on time and tracked monthly.
? Liaise with functional departments to ensure effective customer service / consumer requirements.
Financial
? Achieve budget objectives on volume and margin with existing accounts
? Deliver profitable new business volume in line with annual target.
? Manage Trade spend.
? Maintain overhead costs within prescribed limits.
? Track financial and operational KPI’s by sub-channel and methodology
? Manage overheads to budgeted % of sales
? Sales forecast Accuracy
Customer/Consumer
? Build and maintain relationships with key customers both within portfolio and industry.
? Ensure distribution network provides strong customer service levels
? Contribute to new product development on behalf of current and potential customers focused on specific opportunities for growth.
? Influence Company’s brand and category strategies by bringing the Customer’s voice into the business
? Conduct quarterly and annual reviews with customers
? Manage & Develop large account relationships.
? Establish and maintain successful relationships with industry associations and leaders.
? Work collaboratively so as strategy is in alignment with the Category Dairy strategic plans.
? Work closely with team to deliver volume and margin targets within national accounts and Non National Accounts.
? Support new product development and sales
? Analyse promotions and put plans in place to drive sales for both the Asia region and the customer.
People
? Demonstrates excellent leadership and behavior consistent with the vision, goals and priorities for company’s Asia Pacific region

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
? Minimum 10 years senior level experience in sales management roles
? Field sales/execution
? National account management
? Category/Channel/Strategy Experience including distributor management and internet channel
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
? Strong decision maker with advanced business and financial acumen
? Understanding of retail trade and alternative trading channels
? Management of large and wide brand portfolio
? Excellent communicator and negotiator
? Strong leadership skills
? Advanced planning and organisation skills

? Strong Planning / Forecasting and events process management
? Computer literate
