Responsibility
Lead the QDA Panel in the Support of Projects
·To recruit, select, train, validate and follow up performance of biscuits QDA panel according to sensory best practices, and motivate the panellists to ensure data reliability
·Test set-up and execution, statistical data analysis, report writing
·Share key learning, provide sound conclusions and actionable recommendations to product developers and other functional team through projects
·Maintain sensory lab including facility and sensor test software


Exhibit Key Role in Consumer Science Tests
·Apply affective consumer test methodologies & tools to product development and maintenance, including: Category appraisals, Preference / Acceptance testing, Optimization Studies, Screening Studies, qualitative Focus Group Studies
·Develop reports and recommendations from Analytical and Consumer testing / research
·Prepare and document sensory and consumer study knowledge and activities in the appropriate knowledge management system.


Provide Training and Support Other Categories as needed
·Provide technical sensory and consumer science training to relevant team and people, may within R&D, or for marketing, manufacturer and quality control teams
·May support few work of product evaluation for other categories , eg. Gum and candy, Powder beverage, Instant coffee
·Others


Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above from food science/technology, statistics, or psychology background
More than 3 years working experience as sensory panel leader, sensory or consumer science scientist in the FMCG industry
Be familiar with descriptive sensory analysis (QDA or Spectrum), DOD, Triangle and other fundamental sensory science techniques
Practiced with Compusense or Fizz sensory data collection and analysis software
Skills for statistical data analysis (basic univariate and more advanced multivariate analysis).
Good communication skills (verbal and written), good organisational skills and be able to work with flexibility.
Be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with few direct supervision
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software ie Excel, Word, Powerpoint
