Our client is a leading multinational FMCG company. They are currently looking for Marketing Manager based in Shanghai, China.
Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Marketing Director of China, the position of Marketing Manager – China is responsible and accountable for development and execution of fully integrated, insight based category/brand solutions and activities for customers/channels for the China market.
Key Accountabilities
? Develop and translate customer insight into business building opportunities with specific customers and channels;
? Periodically seek market understanding through various research methodology : competitor activity, price movement, market trend, product acceptance, benchmarking by compiling research report, and identify insight development, issues and opportunities;
? Develop category vision and strategy, to develop and implement annual brand plans to meet business financial objectives through the creation of annual activity plan and quarterly implementation plan;
? Develop Marketing strategies and plans for responsible product segment with marketing manager, include:
? Develop the Marketing Mix , Product Portfolio Strategies , Channel Strategies etc.;
? Based on market development and competitive frame, identify the business growth drivers and product innovation direction;
? Develop NPL roadmap to obtain business in line with 5yr business target;
? Develop, execute and monitor the Annual Budget (Sales target, P&L);
? Develop right product mix under to ensure the product strength vs. competition;
? Initiate winning product concepts and develop product mix with cross functional team;
? Develop and manage new products development projects to ensure timely launch of projects and delivery at committed budget through management and control of DME within the agreed budget;
? Rationalize existing product portfolio to maximize the operation efficiency and profitability;
? Direct & work with advertising/media agency to develop successful marketing initiatives based on the corporate marketing strategies to achieve goals & business growth;
? Work closely with affiliated Advertising/Media agency to develop campaigns that drive Brand Preference and business results;
? Ensure strong execution of brand marketing and media plans/calendars and major launches; and conduct periodical evaluation on program/cost efficiency.
Desired Skills & Experience
? Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred;
? Strong leadership skills;
? Strong strategic, analytic, financial, and consumer research skills;
? 8+ years of marketing experience in the multinational FMCG environment;
? Strong English communication ability
