REPORT TO:Sales & Marketing Manager - North Asia (expatriate)

Our client is an established western multinational paper packaging company operating multiple manufacturing sites in Shanghai and Guangdong. They are looking for a sales professional to join their team in China in order to help them further develop the food service channel, in addition to the major global key accounts they are servicing now in the area.

PURPOSE:
Maximize profitable sales to new and existing customers within the region. Manage staff and other resources effectively so as to support sustainable growth.

Represent the company in an efficient, professional, and ethical manner.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:
？ Achieve monthly and annual sales targets within company margin objectives
？ Set and follow a company approved sales strategy
？ Work within expense budgets
？ Manage and motivate staff to maximize their individual contribution and performance
？ Manage quality “customer service” so as to optimize on-going business
？ Develop good customer relationships so as to optimize on-going business
？ Identify new growth potential and win this business
？ Use technical resources to solve customer packaging needs
？ Maintain accurate and up to date customer records
？ Provide accurate weekly monthly and special reports on time
？ Carry out other duties as directed from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A. Academic Background
？ Technical qualification in printing or packaging field preferred
？ Business qualification.

B. Working Experience
？ Experienced in packaging and or printing industry, or in food service industry.
？ Experience in sales of paper or packaging, or food products.
？ Experience in effectively managing people.

C. Language Skill
？ Fluent in Mandarin.
？ High standard of written and spoken English preferred.
？ Good command of local dialect.

D. Other specific Knowledge / Skills / Requirements
？ Self motivation and desire to succeed.
？ Demonstrated history of growing sales.
？ Attention to detail.
？ High standard of organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

E. Management Competence
？ Experience in effective people management.
？ Good working knowledge of accounting and margins
？ Able to work to deadlines.
？ Tenacious.
？ Able to present proposals or business plans at a senior level.

F. Personality
？ Able to build effective relationships with customers.
？ Able to liaise with Production and other company departments.
？ Strong sense of value and ethics.

G. Work Location / Traveling
？ Based in the local office in Shanghai with regular travel within the region is required. Some additional international travel may be required from time to time.
