Position Description:
The Infomation Security Architect role reports directly to the Lenovo Chief Architect. This role is also dotted line to the Lenovo Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) providing technical guidance. The Infomation Security Architect will lead enterprise-wide, Technical Security Architecture efforts in Raleigh and Beijing China team, defining the Security Framework and Architecture for the entire company.
This is a senior level position leading virtually all aspects of complex info security engagements involving Lenovo environments including SAP, database, networks and application security architecture design. The position will lead the design, support and implementation of security policies, standards and controls across all Lenovo projects, services and production/operations environments. This includes security policy development, Information Security Management Systems (ISMS – ISO 27000), Cloud Security, Data Analytics, Identity management, User provisioning, Single Sign On (SSO) directory services, regulatory compliance consulting with experience in Cyber Security, PCI-DSS, HIPPA, EC-Directive, Privacy, Risk Management & Assessment, Disaster Recovery Planning, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and support for Data Centre security operations. Align and work with other Enterprise Architects, Business development and Operations groups to ensure secure design and practical implementation of technical and security policies, standards, process and technology as reusable infrastructure and capabilities are deployed.
Position Requirements:
The candidate must have an understanding of Information Security principles and technology in breadth and depth, gained from:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related disciplines. English required; Chinese a plus
•Must be visionary and strategic in approach, and demonstrated ability to apply data architectural disciplines to solve business problems.
•Strong understanding of implementation processes and best practices in Enterprise Architecture
•Must work independently with minimal direction with superior organizational skills
•Strong relationship building and mentoring skills with the ability to drive change and issues resolution.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and Ability to articulate technical aspects in an executive manner to present to senior management
•Experience with TOGAF enterprise architecture framework.
•Familiarity with information systems management practices (e.g. ISO27000, ITIL, CMMI, etc.).
•Established experience delivering information security management solutions to large numbers of end users
•At least five years in full-time security architecture roles in enterprise, end-user or consultancy organisations, with a total of at least three to five years in Information technology security architecture, design, solution and management .
•Demonstrable track record in researching new security issues and technology and designing innovative solutions (rather than merely deploying off-the-shelf products and relying on advice from vendors/consultancies).
•Experience developing and managing relationships with 3rd Party Suppliers and internal business and IT groups.
•As the role involves communicating security issues to others, excellent communication skills are essential.
•The candidate must be able to collate and synthesise written information from a wide range of sources, and present this in a clear, concise manner for a variety of technical and non-technical readerships. The ability and willingness to produce clear documentation and reports is essential.
•Experience of developing and/or coding security functionality within applications is highly desirable.
•Practical experience of securing and administering some of the following: Applications, Applications Servers, Middleware, Databases, Windows, AIX, Linux, and SAP platforms would be useful.
•Multicultural, multiple industry, international work experience
•Although not essential, an appreciation of the manufacturing markets, and the role of IT within those markets, would also be useful.
•Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or engineering or Management Information Systems or Business with relevant work experience
•Desirable Certifications; CISSP, SSCP, CCIE, CPP, CBCP, MSCE: Security, GIAC (G7799, GSNA, GSLC, GCSC, GFSP, GEIT), ICCP
