Job Description
The New Product Planning role is a critical component within the SBD department at Daiichisankyo China. The future growth of DS China depends on both internal and external product pipeline opportunities. This role will lead market assessment and valuation of both internal pipeline products and external licensing opportunities.
With internal opportunities, NPP will be actively engaged as commercial lead in China New Product pipeline products. Outcome of the consultation will form part of the Global Product Team decision on the timing and strategy of product development and launch in the China market. The Senior Strategic Planning Manager (SSPM) will provide commercial leadership and input to each project or consultation to ensure project deliverables per agreed-upon timeline and strategy. He or she will also work closely with the HQ team, China R&D and marketing to influence their decision-making on China related issues.
With external opportunities, we are actively engaged in licensing opportunities through HQ to enhance our product portfolio. The Senior Strategic Planning Manager(SSPM) will provide support in opportunity assessment, valuation and transactions.
The Senior Strategic Planning Manager (SSPM) will own one or multiple disease areas and lead the following efforts within the disease area(s):
? Lead Daiichisankyo China global products development processes for all in-coming pipeline products
? Lead the cross-functional New Product Project Teams from the commercial perspective, build business cases, develop commercial strategy, and drive deliverables per the agreed-upon product development strategy and timeline
? Conduct assessment of potential in-licensing opportunities, prepare business cases and make go/no go recommendations to HQ and/or Daiichisankyo China management committee.
Required
1. At least 3 years experience in business development, product development, or marketing at a major multinational pharmaceutical company
2. Experience on new product pre marketing or new product launching as prefer.
3. Experience and proven success in leading cross functional teams
4. Track records of marketing or BD activities
5. Understanding of financial models and NPV analysis
6. Business acumen and analytical skills
7. Strong communication and presentation skills
8. Strong personal drive and teamwork mindset
9. Interest in business development
10. Excellent interpersonal skills
