职位描述
Job Description:
-To motivate, direct, supervise, train up and develop the staff of the Operations Department to ensure the delivery of the quality service to customers, oversees agents, overseas principals and other departments of the company.
-To ensure that all the systems of the company and the procedures and systems established with overseas agents, overseas principals and customers are complied with.
-To ensure that the logistics arrangements provided to customers are effective and economical.
-To ensure that the shipping and export documents are correctly complete in accordance with agreed timetable.
-To develop and maintain good relationships with carriers with a view to securing good spot deals available in the market and adequate space to meet the requirements of the company in peak shipping seasons and when it is necessary, involve Hong Kong Office and overseas agents in the problem-solving process.
-To keep overseas agents and Hong Kong Office informed of good spot deals obtained in the market.
-To develop and maintain a good relationship with the key customers, overseas agents and overseas principals of the company.
-To identify, develop and maintain good relationships with all kinds contractors providing logistical and technological support services in the market and to ensure that their services to the company are up to the standard required and rates in commensurate with the services.
-To keep overseas principals and the Line Management Centers of the company informed periodically of the market rates for logistical services in comparison with contractors used.
-To identify and develop business opportunities in the market in conjunction with the General Manager, Business Development of the China Corporate Office or the Business Director of the Hong Kong Office.
-To make sure that the space allocations agreed with carriers are fulfilled.
-To maintain professional communications with overseas agents and overseas principals, respond to their enquires, and develop a good personal relationship with them.
-To approve credit limits in accordance with the authority assigned by the company.
-To ensure that shipment jobs are closed regularly in accordance with scheduled laid down by the Finance and Accounts Department of the company.
-To be familiar with all the systems of the Operations Department and ensure all the systems of the company are complied with.
-To ensure that all policies of the company are implemented.
-To help solve problems of the day in the department, in conjunction with the managers or staff of other department, and the Office Manager or General Manger of the office and/or the relevant Mangers in the Hong Kong Office, where necessary.
-To keep overseas agents informed of any delay in nominations shipments against original bookings of shippers caused by insufficient space, export customs clearance formalities, etc.
-To help promote a culture of proactiveness, positive-thinking, dedication to services and discipline among all staff of the department and all the staff of the company with personal examples set.
-To carry out specific duties assigned by the Office Manager or General Manager of the Office, the General Manager of the China Corporate Office (except for Shenzhen and Guangzhou) and the senior management of the Hong Kong Office.
Job Requirement:
-University graduate or above, preferably in logistics management.
-Minimum of 10 years logistics experience (Ocean carrier, Freight forwarding, 3PL,Warehouse operations, or Terminal operations).
-Excellent written and spoken language skills in English.
-Excellent communication skills, flexible and creative problem solving skills.
-Strong organization skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks.
-High standards in personal and professional integrity.
-Knowledge and experience of MS Office Suite.
