Role & Responsibility

The China Communications Account Manager is responsible for interacting with China Business units & biz mar-com team in order to plan, consult on communications programs & tactics, develop or localize all relevant master assets - advertising, POS & sale tool, direct mailing/ publication, e-comm. tool, multimedia -- related to key offer communications programs and strategic marketing campaigns. Ensure worldwide standard messaging & design development. -


The China Communications Account Manager will function as primary point of contact to manage relationship with China biz mar-com & BU offer marketing team. This will be accomplished by thorough understanding of country customer segment, business problems /marketing challenges to be solved, formalizing detailed programs brief and developing defined scope of work for project managers, writers & design team to implement.

The China Communications Account Manager will facilitate major projects deliverable reviews and gain all needed final approvals, sharing best practice with global peers, ensuring excellent Chinese copy creation, localization & trans-creation to comply with global asset guideline/ message whilst fully fit in local culture perspectives.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


· Manage China Business Relationship in a Partnership and Consulting mode

· Interface with Business Partners from China Biz Offer Solution Marketing as well as China biz mar-com manager to develop Communications Brief and Scopes of Work

· Plan and Prioritize the work

· Develops or delegates and validates Communication Brief

· Determines Scope of Work & consults on tactical approach

Plans & supervises asset regionalization & localization

· Manage People

· Manage Account team and delegate as needed

· Develop team-spirit and accountability

· Coach staff and develop talent

· Recruitment/Hire/Performance Management

· Analyze performance

· Track campaign execution, provide status reports and project assessments

· Analyze campaign response and results and course correct messaging

· Share best practice into global & country working loop


SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

Contributes to processes & working tools improvement


REQUIRED SKILLS

Communication

High Profession, leadership, problem-solving, well manage others through delegation & co-ordination. Excellent oral & writing in both English and Chinese

Communication Asset and Branding Experience

Knowledge of design & Chinese copy effectiveness, brand equity & positioning, campaign portfolio, digitization & integrated marketing methodology is required. Message and value proposition development experience & writing for marketing response are all a plus.


Management

Must directly manage project management and writing team as well as drive key peer relation with design, localization, production managers to ensure work well executed as plan.

Well collaborate with marketing functional peers or counterparts.


Global Knowledge

Support the communication of campaign strategies and assets to the country for global use and implementation at the country level; Ability to align global process with country priority.


SCOPE AND SIZE:

5-6 people in the team, including project managers & copy writer.


EDUCATION—MINIMUM REQUIRED LEVEL:

Bachelor/ Master degree in Business/Public Communications/Marketing/Advertising or related


EXPERIENCE—MINIMUM REQUIRED:

6-8 years experience Marketing Communication Manager, Senior Project or Account Manager.

4A agency account service or in-house agency background preferred
