Key Responsibilities

? Conceptualize, design and produce Medline brand product packaging

? Create package layouts in Illustrator

? Extensive experience working with die lines

? Handle all aspects of creative execution of projects including initial concept, illustration development, icon development, photo research, retouching and selection, layout and concept refinement

? Design packaging following Medline style guide to ensure design consistency and build brand identity across different product lines

? Collaborate with other design teams to ensure consistency between packaging and support materials, such as sell sheets, brochures and catalogs

? Strong collaboration with divisions to gain in-depth knowledge of products and translate into intelligent and impactful design solutions

? Gain in-depth knowledge of FDA packaging requirements for medical devices, drugs and cosmetics

? Expert level understanding of print design and processes including stock specifications and special finishes

? Create mockups for presentations (digital and physical)

? Collaborate with Senior Production Artist on handoff of design concepts for production

? Prepare and release digital artwork files for print according to best practices

? Upload final artwork files into PIMDAM

? Ability to effectively present design concepts to client

? Comfortable taking design direction as well as directing others

? Ability to lead multiple projects and shift priorities in order to meet deadlines

? Extremely detail oriented and well organized

? Communicate with Project Coordinator and Design Manager to ensure deadlines are met and projects stay on budget

Software

? Expert in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop – MAC platform

? Proficient in utilizing FontAgent Pro, Art Files, PIMDAM, Virtual Ticket and Approval Manager
