The ABB Yard Manager is responsible to assist the Project Managers to manage the yards and Site Managers for a portfolio of projects in Industrial Automation Business area, in Singapore. You will be responsible to assure cost-effective and timely execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning, maintenance phases. As a Yard Manager, you will be reporting to LBL Manager in the Business - Industrial Automation, Energy Industries located in Tianjin,China.

- Working closely with the Project Managers, Contract Manager and Site Managers to deliver the project fabrication scope of work in line with all contractual requirements.
- Planning project on-site activities with Project Managers including necessary local resources, equipment and milestones.
- Giving full support to the Site Managers and act as the link between Site Management and Project Management on selected projects.
- Interface with fabrication yards management to build up a good relationship for effective execution of the works.
- Utilizing effective project management skills involving managing costs, project schedule and procurement of equipment to ensure smooth project execution, timely delivery of all deliverable within budget.
- Ensuring timely updates and submission of site progress reports, site Managers comply with all the contract requirements and ABB processes for successful delivery of the yard scope of works.
- Ensuring that the contract schedule is strictly adhered to by the yards and any slippage is reported to the Project Managers and anticipating potential variations orders from the yards and develop a strategy with the Project Managers and Contract Manager to minimize the impact to ABB.
- In case of delays caused by ABB or ABB’s customer assist the Project Managers and Contract Manager to develop a strategy to minimize impact and to ensure full compliance to ABB HSE and QA/QC processes and promote actively ABB HSE and Quality culture.
- Carrying out regular (virtual or physical) Safety Observation Tour (SOT)/ Team safety meetings.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 15+ years’ experience in Project Management related to Project Site work.
- Good understanding of scheduling, contract management, cost control and risks management.
- Preferable knowledge in Electrical Installation and Commissioning either in Offshore or Plant Projects.
- Mandatory to have experience in Oil and Gas plant/ Offshore/ FPSO E-House project.
- Position is based in Singapore but may require extensive time at worksites outside of Singapore like China, Indonesia, etc.
