Equipment Engineer

Main Purpose主要目标:

· Supports Operation by taking ownership of production equipment; and increasing their availability and reliability throughout their life cycles.

· Effectiveness of the position is gauged by the capability of the candidate to maximize equipment uptime and service life, while balancing the maintenance level to a sound financial position.

Key Accountabilities关键职责:

· Evaluates, selects, and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.

· Oversees installation, modification, upgrade, maintenance, repair and decommission of manufacturing and/or other support equipment.

· Maintains current equipment documentations such as manuals, specs, drawings, etc. Exercises proper change controls according to equipment manufacturer’s technical notices, upgrades, safety issues, etc., or other changes driven by internal initiatives.

· Studies and trends equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing equipment uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.

· Provides technical support during maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of the equipment; assists process engineering in validation and improvement activities.

· Evaluates and maintains a proper level of spare parts and/or consumables in support of operation and other equipment analytics.

· Compiles and maintains preventive maintenance schedules and instructions.

· Optimizes site maintenance program by introducing autonomous maintenance and condition-based maintenance, work order optimization, defect elimination, etc.

· Comprehends and navigates SAP interfaces for Preventive Maintenance management.

· Proactively coordinates, delegates, assigns and performs PM tasks with punctuality and integrity, to minimize production disruption and maximize efficient use of resources.

· To endeavor tasks and implement special projects as assigned by Direct Supervisor.

· Display willingness to make sound decision based on data and objective evidences; show affinity to quality, safety, service delivery and cost metrics.

· Be able to successfully close out projects within scope, schedule and cost requirements.

· Show sensitivity to operational/financial needs and concerns.

Experience and Knowledge经验与技能:

· Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment installation and maintenance in a manufacturing environment (1 – 3 years of experience for associate position).

· Good hands on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronics, pneumatic components, and PLC. Knowledge of electrical codes optional but highly preferred.

· Experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical devices.

· Hands-on knowledge of 5S, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis.

· Familiar with Microsoft Office suites. Experience with 2D and 3D drafting preferred.

· Experience in operating machinery like drills, lathe and work center optional.

Qualifications任职资格:

· Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Automation)

· Competent English reading / writing skills required. Functional English conversational skill preferred but not required.

· Good work ethics and communication skills.

· Autonomous and decision-making abilities; requires minimal supervision.
