Marketing Specialist for Group CCL

 

Background

The role has been created to support the Nippon Paint group CCL business, to help implement the business strategy especially product strategy in construction and home appliance market. Take responsibilities of marketing role including market intelligence, product portfolio management and market communication for the target segments.

 

Responsibilities

Product Management:

• Support on product margin management, monthly analysis on product sales, cost and profit, to make sure of product profitability by each product line at each country, to help find synergies and differences between countries
• Support to regular review group product strategy and plan, modify based on needs
• Support on product portfolio and product life cycle management (development, launch, maturity, sunset, phase-out) 
• Participate and lead selected group development projects with stage gate process, , utilize project management skills to ensure projects achieve each milestone within timeline and make sure to achieve budgeted sales
• Support on product positioning, branding, naming, label & package, cost & pricing & other related product issues
• Support on new product launch strategy and launch package
• Group CCL NPSI collection and analysis

Market Communication:

• Support to develop market communication tools and activities to promote company, key brands and core product portfolio eg. brochures/leaflets/PPT for different segments, trade shows, seminars, website, e-business and other promotion activities;
• Develop market communication plan including concept, contents, ideas and budget together with market communication manager
• Support coil coating brand awareness in home appliance and construction market, build up and maintain brand reputation
• Identify and collect successful project and new product launch cases, sharing between countries for best practice learning and adoption

• MarketIntelligence:                                                                                                                                                              Support market survey for ad-hoc projects, help collect & analyze information and develop business case to evaluate new product development opportunities；
• Conduct survey of market size/opportunities/regulations of each country through different resources；
• Regular monitor market dynamics and technology trends, competitor’s activities and key accounts’ activities to understand their intention and strategy；

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in chemistry or marketing
• Minimal 5 years’ experience in segment marketing or product management role in the chemical industry
• Knowledge of the paints & coatings value chain, coil coating preferred
• Project management experience and skills would be preferred
• Analytical skills and experience in market, customer and competitive intelligence analysis
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively both internal and external.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Self-starter and results oriented. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deal with ambiguity, strong self-management
• Fluent in both Chinese and English
