POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for defining, implementing, executing, and documenting V&V activities for Visualization platform. The activities will encompass all facets and phases of system testing engineering, meeting all regulatory standards, to realize complex, innovative, high reliability systems that improve the quality of life of people around the world. As a Verification and Validation Test Engineer, you will be working with a motivated, diverse, and knowledgeable development teams to deliver world-class products. Candidate must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment. The Senior Engineer frequently interacts with Tech Lead, other developers, V&V engineers, internal partners and stakeholders concerning estimations, design, implementation or requirement clarifications, works closely with global sites.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions of Senior V&V Engineer:

· Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)

· Read, analyze, understand product requirements; support requirements reviews.

· Design and execute tests using Automated test tools, as well as Manual test development process, for the verification of software requirements.

· Establish and maintain traceability from requirements to verification test design and implementation.

· Assist the verification lead in workload planning and time estimation.

· Participate in the technical reviews of system activities and peer verification test development.

· Interface with development engineers on product implementation.

· Perform test execution and participate in the review of peer test execution.

· Maintain well-organized records of test results. Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to management and project stakeholders.

· General issue tracking and working with development and support staff to ensure that that issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

· Troubleshoot defects and manage defect tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent, documented process is used and followed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s in Biomedical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering or higher with 5+ years of V&V testing experience.

Experience:

· Five or more years of general V&V experience of which two or more years of verification and validation experience working on regulated medical industry experience. Experience in Medical Embedded system V&V testing is preferred

· Working knowledge of V&V in a medical device industry including generation of Technical File is highly desired.

· Experience in thorough understanding of the requirements and writing test designs for complete coverage of the requirements

· Experience in creating test plan, defining test configuration, execution of manual and automation testing and reporting test results

· Experience in reporting defects in a defect logging system documenting clearly the steps to reproduce. Manage the defects until its closure.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Ability to critically review technical requirements and determine verification and validation approaches.

· Ability to communicate V&V activities across the organization including intern and external parties, and technical and non-technical topics

· Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.

· Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in an engineering discipline.

· Proficient in integration/verification test method, ability to design test cases independently

· Familiar with medical device regulatory standards (e.g: IEC60601-1 ed3.1, IEC60601-1-2 etc)

· Proficient in English speaking and writing
