Mission

Compressor Technique Information Services (CT-IS) is responsible for information systems within the Compressor Technique business area of Atlas Copco. We implement digital platforms and digital solutions for our customers, our suppliers, and our internal organization to optimize and automate processes.

We are mainly based at the Compressor Technique headquarters in Belgium, with teams in US, India and China.

We are looking for a passionate and committed Project Engineer / Leader to join our CT-IS team in China. You will be involved in project activities and IT application ownership related to the different business processes like supply chain, manufacturing, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), sales & marketing, collaboration, etc. Due to the high level of complexity of the systems, this role requires solid analytical skills. You will have the opportunity to work in a highly-motivated team in a challenging environment.

CT-IS China team is responsible for the lifecycle of the ERP and related information systems within for our CT companies in China. We continuously strive for a close alignment with our internal business customers, being responsible for the development of new functionalities, the continuous improvement of existing applications, as well as the day-to-day IS/IT support.

The Role

·You take the lead in projects and act as IS/IT China application owner, support and/or development expertise for CT companies in China.

·You analyze business requirements, write up functional specs and test programs.

·During projects, you take the lead throughout the different project phases, from feasibility until final implementation. For such projects, you are responsible for the follow-up of the project against its stipulated goals, planning and budget.

·You manage and control the timely and correct resolution of the system issues and will appropriately take care of escalations from users. You will function as final escalation person in case of issues.

·You guarantee an excellent quality of the ERP (SAP), which need to be in line with the business processes.

·You will assist where required with regards to the ERP architecture and its interfaces. This means assessing the incoming requests and help define a solution in line with our views on sustainable IT architecture. A profound knowledge on all business processes is required, as well as strong technical skills. Documenting all this should not be an issue.

·You will be responsible for second line support of the ERP (SAP) system and its add-on applications in Distribution Center in China.
