Sr. Chemist

Responsibilities:

1、Lead the polymer project to develop new polymers with proper property and new technologies for different Bus; 

2、improve and optimize the present products to improve the quality and to reduce the cost. 

Supervising junior chemist and technician for related resin project.       

3、Advise on and drive scale-up of development products at the pilot or production scale. 

4Provide technical support to formulation, technical service and regulatory as required. If necessary, be on customer's site 

5、Search and introduce latest technology to help expand business. Proper documentation of observations and results of developed products. Highlight ideas which could lead IP and innovation reports.   

6、Maintain lab equipment and EHS & 5S responsibilitie. Keep the lab in a safe mode to meet the EHS target.   

Requirements:

1、Hold MS degree or PhD (preferred) in polymer science , materials science or oganic synthetic chemistry

2、 Have 5+years' experience in coating industry, preferably with a global chemical company    

3、With solid knowledge in polymerization chemistry, characterization of polymer resin and scale-up from lab to pilot trial

4、R&D experience in polyurethane resin in coating application (water born coating is a plus)                  

5、Result driven and open-minded？            

6、Demonstrated strong capabilities in project management                                                          

7、Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (verbal, written & presentation skills).  Fluent in both Chinese and English.
