Group Product Management Specialist/Supervisor

Responsibilities

Product Management:

• Implement 5 years plan of group product management, support on yearly update

• Collect and conduct new product sales analysis for all group countries to help business leaders identify insights about new product development effectiveness and new product sales efficiency, make sure of the accuracy of relevant product information

• Closely monitor and report product profitability by analyzing new product sales report, raw material cost and the trends

• Identify new products launched in one BUs/Countries which could share to other BUs/Countries

• Ensure the accuracy of product classification in SAP system, eg product system, product category & etc.

• Participate and lead selected development projects with internal new product development process, cooperate with cross functional team

• Cooperate with BUs/Countries product managers on ad-hoc projects and special topics

• Support on “Center of Excellence” activities, facilitate BUs to share experiences with each other 

   

  Market Intelligence:

• Support market survey for ad-hoc projects, help collect information to evaluate new product development opportunities

• Interface with customers and external channels in the relevant market and be able to identify market trend and any commercial/technical opportunities

• Identify competitors’ information and products for the projects taking care

   

  Market Communication:

• Identify and develop value proposition for selected key new products by working with business and technical organizations in different levels

• Develop communication packages and share between countries to support launch of the products

• Train sales team and technical support staff on how to communicate with customers on the new products

• Support selection and development of market communication channel / tools

• Support brand structure design, product naming regulation and brand registration

• Support product label design and management based on external regulation changes for industry business

  
  

• Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer/materials science

• Minimal 5 years’ experience in Product management experience and skills in the chemical industry

• Knowledge of the paints & coatings value chain preferred

• Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

• Self-starter and results oriented. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deal with ambiguity

• Fluent in both Chinese and English
