Responsibilities:

1. Act as professional, support to regional suppliers regarding implementation of corporate supplier quality tools and processes, for instance, Audit, PPAP, ELC, PPRP.

2. Act as professional support to global team regarding supplier quality issues resolution, supplier quality audits and supplier quality improvement activities etc.

3. Responsible to manage the complete quality assurance activities for 3rd party suppliers in Asia with emphasis and focus on process control and consistent capability to meet expectations.   Including but not limited to supplier qualification, new product development, supplier quality issue resolution, supplier quality performance monitoring and supplier improvement.

4. Support re-sourcing projects in accordance with company strategy and all regulatory compliance requirements.

5. Responsible to communicate to suppliers or coach suppliers for ESAB quality requirements or tools; Ensure no changes are made without correct notification and approval processes being followed.

6. Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology throughout the manufacturing facility and processes.  Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.

7. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

1.       Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality or supplier quality engineering.

2.       Trained / certified auditor for ISO 9001; especially good process audit capabilities for supplier risks assessment. 

3.       Good capability of reading and understanding electrical drawings; experience with assembly operations and process control capability.

4.       Familiar with Power Sources, PCBA manufacturing processes, knowledge in electrical / electronic components or hydraulics, transmission equipment is a plus

5.       Good capability of using common electrical measurement tools, for instance, oscilloscope, multi-meter, AOI, Hi-pot tester etc. 

6.       Good knowledge of quality tools: 8D, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, DOE and etc.

7.       Zero defect mentality and/or automotive expectation experience a plus. 

8.       Have experience in leading lean 6 sigma projects (Green Belt), certified green belt or black belt is a plus; Knowledge of lean principles and experience with implementation a plus.

9.       Good command of Microsoft office word, excel, PowerPoint etc.

10.     EHS knowledge is required.
