Tasks Description
Major Tasks:
The job holder provides leadership and coordination for all Human Resource activities of the relevant functions in the local legal entity or the specific site in the country. He/she is familiar with the key Bayer HR processes and functions and ensures that these are taken into account at the local level as far as possible.He/she is responsible to:
* ensure the implementation and application of agreed upon Bayer HR directives,policies,processes,systems and programmes throughout the relevant functions in the local legal entity or at the specific site organization and strives for best practices in the standardization,harmonization and alignment of local HR activities,but always with the business requirements in mind.
* Executes effective local Talent Management(TM) intiatives in line with the global Bayer Group TM strategy to attract,identify,develop and retain the right emplyees and to maintain a powerfull talent pipeline in the relevant functions in the local legal entity or at the specific site organization.
* Provides support and guidance to the relevant local management thus enabling them to contribute to the talent management agenda including participation in the Bayer Group Personnel & Organization Conference (POC) process with the Country Council. By doing so he/she helps the line management to develop employees' capabilities to the mid-to-long-term business needs.
* Manages labour law/litigation in colse collaboration with the Head of HR for the country/country group and Law and Patents ensuring adherence tg applicable laws and Bayer rules.
* The job holder contributes for all employee relations and relationships with Union/Works Councils representatives at the local,regional and national level related to their specific local legal entity or at the specific side and in doing so ensures full compliance with applicable employment legislations.
* Supports organizational changes (restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestments) providing appropriate solutions to the business from the HR perspective.
* He/she contributes to HR marketing/employer branding thus ensuring that Bayer will be an employer of choice in the relevant functions in the local legal entity or at the specific site organizaiton.
* Provides HR perspectives on their relevant business operations and consult with local management on HR implications on the strategies. * Support local management in communicating HR issues properly to employees and employees' representatives by means of standard instruments(e.g.on-site print;intranet channels).
* Counsels and supports business managers in the resolution of specific individual local HR issues;e.g.disciplinary actions incl.face-to -face meetings with managers/employee/works' council representatives,application of early retirement programs with execution of individual cases,lay-off younger employees incl.negotiation of severance payments.
* Helps local management to align their operations and employee capabilities to the overall strategic directions and the mid-to-long-term needs of the local operations(Human Capital Management).
* Through an understanding of the business and engagement with the business leaders,translate the business requirements and challenges into relevant HR actions and initiatives.

Qualifications:
'Education:
* Preferably a university degree or equivalent,especially with the main focus on Human Resources;
* English language should be fluent both in the spoken and written form.
Skills/experiences:
* Knowledge about the local legal employment conditions and those of the legal entity or specific site organization;
* Experience and proven track record in working across the core HR functions with specific experience in one expert HR field;
* Ability to collaborate in the Bayer HR business model: Shared Service Center,Business Partner,Center of Expertise;
* Professional leadership experience;
* Knowledge of the Bayer Group organization and processes;
* Role model for the Bayer LIFE Values,Leadership,Integrity,Flexibility and Efficiency;
* Team-oriented leadership skills honed through experience with senior management;
* Communications strategy and massaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management and staff,including the various relevant representatives of workers groups and external stakeholders;
* Experienced in multidisciplinary project and corresponding change management;
* Capability to work in a multicultural environment and advantage;
* Good understanding of financial impacts derived from HR decisions and policies;
* General business acumen;
* Take a strong stand with management if required.
