The Project & Planning Coordinator will ensure coordination among the China seeds development to enable reliable and effective planning and execution in delivering our end to end product pipelines across market segments.

• He/she will support the market segment teams to coordinate between demand owners and supply owners and ensure effective delivery of annual and seasonal planned demand according to timeline and budget.
• He/she will support the to ensure alignment between planned vs actual spend
• He/she will own project management on assigned project within China seeds development teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Working with the Market Segment Teams :

• Co-develop annual and seasonal demand plan with each demand owner within each market segment and work with the supply team on timely and cost effectively delivery of planned demand within budget and capacity of the operations team
• Establish a robust tracking and reporting mechanism to monitor project progress in a timely and effective manner
• Metrics reporting on China Seeds Development projects to the relevant stakeholders
• Support alignment between planned vs actual budget spend and delivery of market segment teams

Coordinate efficient projects delivery for China seeds development

• Ensure coherence of data in appropriate reporting tools (for project planning, functional resource demand, budget reporting etc)
• In coordination with the demand owners, populate project planning tool with feasible demand plans
• Support  the project portfolio management and reporting (i.e. research reviews and pipeline tracking reporting)

• Implement project management culture and standards in the product development teams.
• Manage risks in demand delivery due to unforeseen circumstances with the relevant stakeholders

Critical Knowledge:

·        Understanding of plant biology, basic plant breeding process & technologies

·        Understanding of agribusiness

·        A strong knowledge of project management and database system

·        Ability to learn new skills & unlearn obsolete skills
