工作描述：

1. As a specialist in the field of toxicology to manage the toxicology studies contracted to Chinese CROs and deliver the necessary data to support registrations in China.

2. Providing technical expertise to identify and solve key scientific and technical problems, with a focus on how to design study, interpret data in ways acceptable to ICAMA.

3. By understanding the current and evolving Chinese regulatory guidelines for toxicology studies to provide advice to project teams, highlighting project risks and potential solutions.

4. To participate in discussions with external regulatory agencies e.g. ICAMA and other stakeholders on the acceptability of Syngenta’s approaches.

5. To work with Syngenta Human Safety experts globally to ensure the requirements for China are understood and to facilitate the use of wider company expertise in China.

As the role develops it may expand to include the conduct of human risk assessments .

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

1. At least Master’s degree or above with a background in toxicology, pharmacy, medicine or veterinary medicine. Certified toxicologist preferred.

2. Significant experience in the design, conduct or monitoring and interpretation of mammalian toxicology studies.

3. An understanding of the current and evolving Chinese regulatory requirements for toxicology and risk assessment.    

Critical experience

1. Delivery of toxicology studies data for pesticides or other chemicals or pharmaceuticals.

2. Presenting and advocating technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders

3. Working in multi-disciplinary project teams.

Critical technical, leadership and personal capabilities

1. Capable of demonstrating good technical judgement.

2. Excellent communication skills.

3. Planning, organizing and monitoring outputs to meet deadlines.

4. Self-motivation and Creative problem-solving skills.

5. Ability to work independently whilst also involving others when appropriate.

6. English and Chinese speaking.
