Mission Statement:
Clear understand industry trend, market segmentation, building application and customer needs, support solution leaders to define go-to-market strategy and future solution roadmap, actively engage customer events and content creation to create though leadership position and demand creation on building segment
Main Accountabilities:
Market Analysis:
Clear understand China building (Residential / Office / Hotel / Hospital / Retail / other buildings) market size and trends, deep dive into the key sub-segments and key accounts in Buildings, deep understand Building application and technology trends, understand customer needs and pain points, translate customer needs to ABB solution opportunities, understand competitor’s movement, solutions, strengths and weakness, suggest on our solutions roadmap and offer gap analysis.
Go-to-market Strategy
Work with solution leaders to define EL go-to-market strategy and key account sales plan; contribute on country business plan for Building segment
Provide solutions and offer gaps analysis, support PMD to define solutions and offer roadmap; support PMD on solutions commercialization strategy
Marketing tools and training
Provide marketing tools on building solutions, including sales pitch, Website content, etc.
Leverage the global segment organization to help train the local teams, using expert understanding of customer and industry behavior
Promotion
As a speaker, attend external seminar or forum to present ABB solutions in building market
As a content owner, provide Building solution articles, social media content, to build up “though leadership” in Building market
Reporting
Ensure timely reporting of key business metrics relating to the datacenter segment.
Represent the country /region at local management forums, global segment leadership forums and as required to ensure the segment requirements and performance are well understood.
Key deliverables and KPI:
Key Deliverables
1. Analysis: China building market analysis report (market size, market share, competition, customer needs, etc.)
2. Strategy: Go-to-market strategy (target sub-segments/customers, key offers, influence plans, etc.) Solution and offer gaps analysis in Buildings;
3. Tools: ABB EL Building external PPT, Building solutions whitepaper, technical article, other marketing tools and contents
4. Training: Building application training course
5. Promotion: present building solutions in external seminars
KPI
1. EL Building order
2. Completed and approved market report and go-to-market strategy
3. Complete marketing tools (number of contents on building, including article, social media, etc)
4. Number of sales trained on Building
5. Number of seminars to present
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
1. A diversity of experience in industry and while building design institute or consultant experience is preferred it is not essential
2. A broad knowledge of ABB products, design and services within the industry (electrical distribution, extra-low voltage, green building) is considered essential.
3. The ability to navigate the ABB organization is equally valuable
4. Proved strong experiences on the roles include business development, key account management, marketing, and technical specification.
