POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

The Senior software Engineer (Robotics) will play a key role in developing the software planning and navigation system design of medical robotic platform. He/She will work closely with mechanical, electronical and system design teams on software design, development and testing. Also co work with product managers and software technical lead to understand customer requirements and business strategy (globalization, localization). candidate should be able to work independently and function well within a team, is flexible, self-motivated, curious and willing to concentrate into the medical robotics area

 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Apply solid software design skills to develop surgical robotic devices to meet specific performance and deliver goals according to product development quality system, including design, implement and test software to realize specific algorithm or/and general application.

• As a team member, significantly contribute to completion various project activities, including identifying software specification definition, identifying software development requirement, code reviews, software/firmware releasing, software reliability design and so on.

• Create and implement the software test plans/protocols and generate test reports to ensure software design meets the specifications and quality system requirements.

• Work closely with cross-function team, including design reviews with QA, RA, test engineers, hardware engineers to ensure the software design meets the product requirements, including safety, reliability and serviceability. Be creative and innovative in the product development process

• Make, recommend or justify critical technical decisions in product design. The decision should be based on broad investigation and enough testing.

• Document and transfer developed solutions to manufacturing team for mass production and provide technical support and sustaining development in launch phase.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

Electronic engineering, computer science, software engineering, Controlling, Automation, Mathematics, Biomedical or similar major in education background.

 

Experience:

• Master with 3+ years or bachelor with 5+ years application/embedded software development experience.

• 5+ years object-oriented design and C/C++ programming experience.

• Image registration algorithm development experience

• Experience developing PACS, 3D modeling, surgery navigation system preferred.

1. Strong software design / development experience.

2. Technical experience (any of the following):

3. Linux and Windows based medical equipment (proactive) software development

4. Embedded system software/firmware development

5. Medical image processing algorithm development

6. GUI software development, e.g. Qt, WPF

7. Parallel programming, OpenMP or GPU programming

8. Navigation (e.g. PACS assisted navigation,) software development

9. Deep Leaning and related AI technology experience

    

   Skills/Qualifications:

• Familiar with software principles, theories, concepts, techniques and architecture.

• Familiar with image registration methods and process, and the ability to evaluate and test the algorithms.

• Knowledge of medical images (CT, MRI, X-ray, etc.) and the related image processing algorithms.  

• Application development experience for Windows or Linux.

• Good knowledge of latest trends and technologies used in software solutions designed for the medical industries.

• Familiar with medical device software development process (IEC62304).

• Know-how of medical equipment/instrument is a plus.

• Fluency in English and Mandarin required, Good presentation skill is required.

• Software development and engineering process.
