ABB Integrated DC Power (IDCP) IT team is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure specialist to manage the APAC infrastructure footprint supporting the business. As the Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for both APAC regional end user services and site infrastructure. He/she will lead the execution of projects and provide support for all clients and IT infrastructure components in the APAC region. Support scope encompasses IT Network, Compute, and Telecom Infrastructure Operations at the regional sites including all EUS activities at the sites, both office and shop floor devices, network wiring, phone systems, ownership and support of all IT Infrastructure projects impacting the plant operations, both internal and corporate driven. As a Infrastructure Specialist in the IDCP IT organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced, international environment, solve complex problems, lead our IT solution capability development for Infrastructure and grow together with the rapidly developing business.

- As the Infrastructure Specialist, your typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- ？ Serve as the primary IT service delivery focal point for the APAC region for IT technical assistance/requirements, end user direction, problem resolution and project execution
- ？ Ensure security is a key priority for all IT infrastructure, driving timely patching and strong operational processes that protect the enterprise.
- ？ Maintain standards that are aligned with global framework requirements to support key compliance, risk and security controls as it pertains to IT infrastructure.
- ？ Operate the infrastructure for IDCP IT systems, including architecting, designing, implementing, and ensuring day-to-day stability of infrastructure, servers, appliances and all other related technologies – virtual or physical, storage, and cloud solutions. Collaborate effectively across all internal and external service providers to resolve infrastructure related issues in a timely manner and ensure adequate capacity to support business needs.
- ？ Execute and maintain a standard incident and change management process within the infrastructure space; ensure a focus on continuous improvement of existing processes.
- ？ Deliver and support initiatives that are aligned and agreed at an ABB corporate level.
- ？ Establish and enforce appropriate IT policies, processes and procedures, aligning with industry best practices where possible.
- ？ Ensure effective engagement between local, corporate, and 3rd party shared service provider teams for all relevant IT infrastructure activities and, where required, monitor adherence to established service levels, ensuring that agreed time, budget, and quality specifications are met.
- Participate as a team member on application, architecture, or technology projects as required; take responsibility for project tasks, make and meet commitments
- ？ Evaluate and recommend unique hardware configurations; defines special hardware / software requirements, capacities, capabilities, etc. to meet user needs while adhering to technical standards
- ？ Estimate costs and schedules, recommend resource required and solutions to problems, which arise during the course of a project

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related area from an accredited college or university and/or minimum 10+ years IT infrastructure experience including enterprise wide deployments, business integrations and sustaining efforts.
- ？ Demonstrated experience managing LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, Voice (VoIP), etc.
- ？ Experience with current protocols and standards such as Active Directory, Group Policies, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery.
- ？ Experience in data center management, server & storage hosting, and cloud computing environments.
- ？ Demonstrated experience utilizing ITIL practices (e.g., Incident, Service Request, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Configuration (CMDB), and Availability & Capacity management) to deliver and manage quality IT services.
- ？ Demonstrated ability to take a broad view of his/her position and take initiative to communicate, interact and cooperate with others.
- ？ Highly motivated and entrepreneurial; hands on IT professional with a “can do” attitude
- ？ Excellent communication and facilitation skills that have been leveraged to drive change and successfully delivery of significant IT programs. Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical audiences, to convey complex IT information in a clear and concise fashion.
- ？ Strong experience in infrastructure project planning and execution.
- ？ Previous experience establishing internal continuous improvement activities to drive efficiencies, manage/reduce costs, and improve service.
- ？ Experience leveraging shared IT services, internal or external, to drive cost effective service delivery.
