Area of Responsibilities:

As key member of the R&D team, he/she will:

1. Lead mechanical architecture definition of new product development,
   especially to define the architecture and skeleton of complicate
   robotic/motion system according to product requirement and system
   requirement from marketing and system design team, interpret system
   requirement to design specification and assist the project manager or
   system designer to define the technical milestones
2. Hands on robotic system design for new product development,
   including concept defining, decompositing and integrating the specific
   system/module design based on his/her expertise, driving the team
   discussion on concept defining, feasibility study, and detailed design
   etc., and leading the technical team to implement Design for Reliability
3. Collaborate with mechanical design team to develop robotic/motion
   mechanical structure design. Be able to breakdown the task for specific
   development requirement.
4. Work with cross-functional team to ensure product design meets the
   requirement for manufacturing, cost, service and regulation

Person Specification:

1. Master degree or above in Engineering (Mechanical)
2. Solid hands-on design experience as mechanical
   engineer at least 7 years, expert on automation/robotic production
   development.
3. Expertise in ProE and static and
   dynamic system simulation are favorable.
4. Good English
   communication ability (verbal and written)
5. Must be a
   team player
6. Conceptual
   design experience, like design and development for medical devices or life
   science product
7. A positive
   attitude towards team working incl. intercultural competence with
   structured and systematic work method
8. Good knowledge and
   experience in Design for Six Sigma (process and tools)
9. Good problem-solving
   skill (root cause analysis, FMEA, etc.) and technical communication
   ability
10. Global collaboration
    experience in matrix organization
