What We Are Looking For !

The CIE is an integral part of the infrastructure team responsible for delivering the complete cloud computing architecture capable of supporting a ‘Cloud First’ approach for the JCI organization globally, while also ensuring a successful transition of the present JCI compute footprint to the cloud.

The cloud computing architecture encompasses everything involved with a cloud computing delivery model, which includes the front-end platforms, servers, storage and the networks required to deliver/manage the cloud environment(s).

What you will do !

The CIE must be able to build strong relationships across the cloud infrastructure team to ensure that the solutions delivered meet the required business value while also acting as the technical authority and escalation point for all cloud technical issues…..by….

· Managing public cloud subscriptions, resource management and connectivity configurations

· Building PowerShell scripts, automation Templates for design, development & deployment

· Designing , building and maintaining the CI/CD infrastructure - using tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, DevOps

· Building and administering VMs and Containers using tools such as Docker & OpenShift

· Migrating existing private cloud/on-prem workloads to public clouds

· Providing level 3 operations support in Cloud environments

· Providing troubleshooting assistance other areas of IT support

· Building & deploying cloud monitoring tools

· Deploying new change management & deletion tooling

What We Look For !

The ideal candidate for the role of cloud infrastructure engineer at JCI will typically have extensive knowledge across many of the following technology fields…

· Hands on experience in design, deployment or operations in popular cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP or OCI.

· Experience in managing public cloud subscriptions, resources management, optimization and reporting

· Deployment, change management, deletion, and troubleshooting of Cloud Services. Eg: Networking, storage,

· PowerShell scripting , Automation Tools and Knowledge on popular cloud provider platforms

· Tracking Feature/Bugs tracked within public cloud provider platforms

· Cloud provider support troubleshooting assistance utilizing Internal & external partner teams and services

· Experience with Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux

· Experience of working with IaaS and/or PaaS delivery models

Education

· Batchelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

· Certification with any of the top industry Cloud Providers – eg Azure , Google , AWS, - would be an advantage.

· Formal Network and/or Storage certification would be an advantage
