ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Identify critical and high-risk components in products by performing BOM components analysis.
2. Evaluate the risky components and suggest alternate for high risk components.
3. Provide support to all designers to perform component research and participate in component life cycle and evaluate all components for NPD projects
4. Analyze and develop solutions to resolve all issues associate with obsolete components and supplies and perform component level tests and perform various experiments on components.
5. Review and interpret all component data sheets and evaluate all components for various product applications and assist to assemble and solder all new components and perform required tests on same.
6. Manage all communication with manufacturers and distributors on all supply components and evaluate all results effectively.
7. Administer components tracking database and prepare reports for all component results and maintain progress for same on monthly basis.
8. Document and provide support to all component activities and perform tests on product releases to ensure qualification of all products.
9. Coordinate with engineering staff to evaluate and resolve all manufacturing issues for various products and document all procedures according to company standards.
10. Evaluate all design and perform tests on various devices and ensure compliance to all international electrical emission.

11. Work to support Asia Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers for components troubleshooting.

12. Support the Supplier Change Request and Product Change Notices from Asia contract manufacturing for process change or components change request.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Prepares analysis reports for director(s), project leaders or other personnel.

2. Presents work status to management and teams, as required.

3. Develops and tracks work schedule and assignments.

4. Provides input to departmental planning and resource activities.

5. Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BSEE or equivalent with Electronic experience and product life cycles. Experience: 1+ years of experience working in a multifaceted environment with internal and external customers in a technical support role, components testing roles and BOM maintenance role. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: · Demonstrated experience of Electronic product components engineering, better to have PCBA design and electronic products design experience (components selection, schematic, layout, DFX, testing, validation, SMT process). · Proven ability to partner cross functional organizations to successfully drive the business · Must be a good communicator, verbal and written, across various levels of the organization as well as cross functionally · Must be an extensive multi-tasker, and problem solver with high energy levels and strong organizational abilities. · Must be organized and attentive to details. Skills/Competencies: Problem solving, priority setting, customer focus and driving for results Other Skills: Must communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:

Partners closely with Global R&D and Shanghai R&D engineering team

Works on moderate to complex engineering tasks and provides weekly updates with their Supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office conditions and engineering labs

International travel to Design Centers, Manufacturing plants and Contract manufacturing facilities
