POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions of Principal Electrical engineer:

？ Lead EE/System technical development focus on Sensor/Image application system based on product requirement or technical readiness

？ Flows down system requirements to sub-systems, defines subsystem architectures, and specifies module / component / user interfaces, by applying systems engineering processes.

？ Support Manager on Endoscopic and advanced minimum invasive surgery visualization technology and create roadmap of Visualization Platform and assistant the project pipeline creation

？ Collaborating with software developers across divisions to architect low-latency connections/image signal processing Platform.

？ Building advanced image processing platform for real-time image capture and processing.

？ Creating custom logic to manage a constant inflow of data, which will need to be parsed, processed, and passed to the user space in the most efficient manner possible

？ Identifying bottlenecks and measuring latency using logic scopes

？ Working closely with software developers to develop an optimal interface between FPGA hardware and user space software

Work with global marketing for new opportunity identification and development.

？ Work with QA, PMO Sourcing team to identify the technical specification and implement the prototyping / product engineering

？ Work with outside business partners on OEM/ODM/ projects and identify the direct/indirect sourcing vendor.

？ Work with the RA to understand regulatory requirement and complete relevant testing and report to support product registration. Be involved in product type testing preparation and implementation.

？ Coaches and motivates junior technical staff.

？ Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

？ Some level of travel WW will be required to visit hospitals, vendors and attend relevant conferences and semenar

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

BS or MS of Electronic engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

· 10+ years of engineering on electrical platform design (SoC , FPGA system ) and development for complex, multi-disciplined product development,

· Has 5+ years’ experience working on industry Endoscopy/Camera/Machine Vision related system design

· Has 5+ years’ experience on FPGA code/timing/algorithm design or implement.

· Proven EE technology skills on schematic, PCB design and layout management.

· Understanding High speed signal system design and PCB layout constraint.

· Proven Sensor technology understanding and application skills.

· Be familiar with ISO13485 required medical device development process. Be familiar to IEC 60601-1-2 and others is a plus

· Sound experience in designing, processing, testing and manufacturing of mechanical &electronic components/products and QMS for medical device.

· Expert-level knowledge of Xilinx/Altera products, development tools, and related simulators

· Experience with Xilinx MPSOC (preferred)

Skills/Qualifications:

· A strong understanding of image signal processing

· Experience using Logic Scope for wire-to-wire analysis and performance measurement

· Integration experience with independent third-party cores

· Able to design and develop signal processing cores from system and architectural requirements(nice to have)

· Ability to document design and interface specifications

· A strong background in mathematics (preferred)

· A demonstrated background in sensor image capture, processing and display (preferred)

· An understanding of various hardware techniques, such as schematic , layout (preferred)

· Previous work experience at a high-frequency trading firm (preferred)

· Working knowledge of risk management techniques. (i.e. Risk Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), etc.).

· Experience in the development of processes and procedures which integrate systems engineering and risk management methods.

· Familiarity with ISO, Medical Device Directive, and other international medical device requirements and standards.

· Experience in medical device design desirable., know-how of manufacturing of endoscope/instrument is a plus

· Fluency in English and Mandarin required, Good presentation skill is a plus

· Strong analytical, problem solving skills.

· Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication & negotiation skills

· Self-starter and capable of working with minimal supervision.

· Ability to manage multi-task across multiple projects.
