Established in September 2009, Alibaba Cloud, the technology arm of Alibaba Group – one of the world’s largest internet companies, provides a highly reliable, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure platform in the cloud combined with comprehensive big data and AI capabilities that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses around the world. The ultimate benefit of Alibaba Cloud is the ability to leverage a new business model and turn CAPEX into OPEX. Businesses no longer need to plan and procure servers and other IT resources weeks or months in advance and can take advantage of Alibaba Cloud’s expertise and economies of scale to access resources when their business needs them, delivering results faster and at a lower cost. Alibaba Cloud international is to expand Alibaba cloud services market out of China. Currently data centers are expanded into continents including America, APAC, Mideast and Europe. The team's mission is to establish data center footprints in major markets to construct a global resource network for Alibaba Cloud, then recruit customers globally.
As the Content Operation Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the Blog, Event, Forum, and Knowledge Base channels. He/she will be responsible for managing the community and resources channel, including defining the channel and content strategy, setting up operations guidelines, managing daily operations, and performing other related campaign planning and execution. The details are as follows:
1) Based on the Alibaba Cloud International team business goal, plan long-term business strategy and short-term execution strategy with clear objectives and KPI to support the business. The key KPIs include generating quality content, driving organic traffic through content, improving and maintaining various content platforms, and supporting the overall business through content.
2) Set up the channel operations guideline to guide and standardize work processes, ensure that the operations are in line with the overall business strategy, and provide high quality content for other stakeholders and internal users from cross-functional teams.
3) Work with PD team to continuously improve the front-end and backend of various content channels, and optimize the channels' UX based on business requirements and customer feedback.
4) Analyze relevant data and continuously optimize operational strategies based on data. Responsible for the amount of content, interaction, and the traffic volume driven from core websites to Alibaba Cloud official website.
5) Work closely with SEO and Community teams, and collaborate with third-party content platforms and communities to seed content and generate more organic traffic to the website.
1) Familiar with technology through education or work, preferably within the cloud computing industry, and familiar with international mainstream technology communities.
2) 7+ year work experience in overseas tech-community and/or content operations.
3) Clear understanding of the content needs of users at all levels, as well as the needs from different stakeholders in a highly-matrixed organization.
4) Outstanding content creation and project management skills.
5) Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and balancing between multiple projects with tight deadlines.
6) Basic understanding of SEO and content marketing.
7) Pre-established credibility and recognition in speaking engagements and technology publications is preferred.
