As a Digitalization R&D Engineer, you will be part of the Power Grids (PG) Division and High Voltage Products Business Unit, based in Beijing. ABB is World’s No.1 in Power Products Business and the product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.

You will be responsible to perform product & solution development in power equipment digitalization and its application in digitalized/smart grid.

- ？ Perform R&D projects for digitalized high voltage products and solutions in digital substation application
- ？ Assume the responsibility for algorithm design, optimization and implementation, focusing on diagnosis modeling, data processing and analysis, pattern recognition
- ？ Supporting or take the responsibility for algorithm implementation, verification with the products.
- ？ Work in R&D project teams on technologies analysis, solution design, and system implementation, integration & verification.
- ？ Coordinates with local, regional and global resources to ensure a successful R&D projects execution

- ？ Ph.D. or M. S. degree majored in electrical engineering, power system, automatic control or other related areas
- ？ At least 5 years of working experience in relevant area is needed.
- ？ Good understanding of HV power equipment, hand-on R&D experience with digital HV equipment solution design and implementation. E.g. monitoring system, signal collecting and processing, and etc.
- ？ Experienced with algorithm design, optimization and implementation, including diagnosis modeling, pattern recognition;
- ？ Experienced with data/signal processing technology and method, e.g. filtering, de-noising, eigenvalue extraction and etc.;
- ？ Experienced with simulation and data analysis tools, e.g. Matlab or R language; familiar with programming language, e.g. C, python, and etc.
- ？ Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn about new technologies
- ？ Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ？ Fluent in both oral and written English
