Principal System Engineer

Job title:

Principal System Engineer

Location:

Shanghai, China

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and redesign medium to high complexity medical devices and systems.

• Interface with product manager to translate customer needs to system level requirement.

• Generate design concept.

• Work out system architecture.

• Create the subsystem design requirement.

• Translate regulatory requirement, compliance standard to product requirement and specification.

• Interface with global stakeholders and expert, host technical review and/or regular meeting.

• Work closely with cross-function team, including design reviews with QA, RA, test engineers, hardware engineers to ensure project goes smoothly.

• Be creative and innovative in the product development process.

• Engage internal team and external stakeholders to drive project moving forward.

  Job Qualification:

  Education:

• Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline required.

• Master degree preferred.

  Experience:

• Master with 8+ years product development experience.

• Medical Devices industry experience preferred.

  Skills/Qualifications

• Ability to design reliable and innovative systems, familiar with other disciplines such as ID, materials, manufacturing process.

• Hands-on experience in detail design.

• Good understanding and use of DFSS methodology.

• Problem solving and analytical skills.

• High quality standard and attention to details.

• Excellent skills in verbal and written English communication. Able to work in global collaborating environment with intensive challenges.

• Knowledge sharing and strong team work.

• Proactive and highly self-motivated.
