Major Accountabilities

？ Oversee existing business related to suppliers in Asia Pacific (except India), manage existing suppliers in relationship, price negotiation, supply sustainability.
？ Screen the market and recommend alternative China-based sources to internal stakeholder to establish new alternative source in order to reduce sourcing cost and optimize supplier base.
？ Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to facilitate the suppliers to reach Novartis global quality/regulatory/EHS/CC5 requirements
？ Follow up routine orders and on going/preliminary projects assigned.
？ Re-organise internal data management including implementation of first class data management tools and their further development according to the needs
？ Gather and communicate Chinese and other markets in the region, market intelligence in relation to Global requirements.
？ Monitor Chinese supply market changes, prices changes etc..for key molecules and inform stakeholder’s potential opportunities and risks.
？ Regular reporting including data update

Languages: ？ Chinese
？ English, both fluent in oral & writing
Experience & Capabilities: ？ Minimum 3 years professional experience in China pharmaceutical/generics industry in commercial function, preferably sourcing & purchasing.
？ Basic knowledge of API market and key suppliers in China
？ Good ability in understand & develop effective business relationships with key or potential suppliers
？ Basic professional procurement training is expected.
？ Basic knowledge of cGMP, ICH, EHS
？ Basic understanding cost drivers… in generics industry is preferred
？ Good analytical thinking capability.
？ Good ability to deal with conflicting priorities and manage risk
？ Good skills of PC application in daily work, database management
