Role purpose

To introduce & position crop protection Herbicide product (new AI , new formulation or la-bel extension) into the China market to expand the Herbicide portfolio pipeline for the business growth and co-ordinate the required test by authorized institute to meet registration requirement;

To identify product proposition, application technology and the possibly for the transfer into the commercial functions for the successful commercialization.

Accountabilities

• To co-work with marketing, commercial units, Technical Service & other CPD colleagues in formulating, budgeting & optimize product development plan & responsible for its implementation
• To work with APAC/HQ Product Biology and Field Trialing team to characterize the new Herbicide prouct/formulation & identify its value proposition, application technology & possibly fit to the local market.
• work closely with Regulatory team in delivery the one year registration & with Marketing/Technical Service in 5 yrs Herbicide development plans
• To maintain high level of relationship with ICAMA, NATESC & other external cooperators to ensure Herbicide product registration & development process are smooth.
• To work with other functional teams in Herbicide product life cycle management including resistance management and generic defense to maximize company interest
• To transfer the Herbicide product knowledge & application technology to the Technical Service and Commercial Units prior to the launch & commercialization.
• To update all Herbicide idea/project in Bioplan timely and input all trial protocol & data in the biodesign systems for reporting and global sharing of information.

Critical knowledge and Critical experience

• MSc/Dr. in Agriculture or Crop Protection/Pesticide is a must
• In dept knowledge of China Agriculture
• Good knowledge of the government organization and system related to agriculture
• Indepth knowledge of the pesticide industry
• Excellent working experience with research institute and extension authority related to agriculture at all level
• More than 5 years experience in the Crop Protection industry
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Negotiation & stakeholder management
• Project management
• Good networking with APAC/HQ Product Biology
• Technical expert in Herbicide
