As a Senior account manager, you'll assume responsibility for a number of advertising accounts, oversee the work of account executives and be a key person in charge of budgets and administration.
The work varies from advertiser, but usually involves:
- The day-to-day management of clients’ marketing and advertising campaigns
- Dealing with all aspects of a campaign
- Managing the work of account executives
- Leading project management activity
- Regular communication and liaison with clients
- Ensuring necessary actions are undertaken by the account team
- Attending client meetings
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients
- Completing administrative work, as required
- Generating accurate reports and status notifications
- Pitching fresh and innovative ideas to clients
To be a successful senior account manager you'll need:
- Good English spoken and written communication skills
- Significant experience in professional client relationship management
- A solid background in advertising, design or marketing
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Good 'people skills', for working with a range of colleagues and clients
- A willingness to work long hours, often under pressure
- A professional manner
- Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets
- Willing to travel within around 25%25 of working time
