Our client is an established western multinational company in the paper packaging industry, operating multiple manufacturing sites in China. They are looking for a Production Manager to join their team in Jiangmen, China.
PURPOSE:
Lead and manage the Production Department of the assigned facility in its daily operations so as to achieve the established objectives in Quality, Service, and Efficiency.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and manage the production department.
· Responsible to achieve wastage standard and machine efficiencies.
· Maintain high standard in product quality as well as quality and efficiency in all work processes.
· Manage and control direct raw materials and direct labour variance.
· Responsible for implementation of GMP, HACCP and ISO of the department.
· Maintain all machines in tip top condition.
· Responsible to DIFOT.
· Drive all process improvement and cost reduction projects.
· Work closely with other counterparts in assuring the achievement of company's targets and objectives.
· Carry out any task assigned by the company that may be outside the functional role, e.g. process owner ( a separate JD will be attached if needed), project team member, mentor etc.
SPECIFIC TASKS:
· Daily report production performance to senior management, mainly on machine efficiencies, DIFOT, quality and wastage.
· Co-ordinate with Production Planning/CS Department on the production planning and process.
· Supervise subordinates, implement, and follow the production processes and activities according to Quality Procedures and SOP.
· Train and develop subordinates so that maximum effectiveness and good performance are achieved and maintained.
· Control and maintain sufficient manpower through proper managing of the employees arrangement to meet daily work requirement and COC requirement.
· Ensure the work area is well maintain according to 6S/GMP.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· University degree in engineering with at least 5 years solid hands on and management experience preferably in packaging or printing industry.
· Experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management system and preferably with HACCP experience.
· Proven successful track record and strong team building and management skills.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills, basic written and spoken English is preferred.
