Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with strategic, marketing and engineering teams to plan future Interiors manufacturing capabilities in China to rationalize the current Interiors manufacturing footprint and optimize product quality and cost structures.
2. Oversee and work with Interiors manufacturing activities at each Joint Venture facility to upgrade and commonize where possible future manufacturing systems and help to drive Continuous Improvement efforts.
3. Work with Joint Ventures to set up uniform collection and reporting of Interiors plants measurables at all facilities to insure that Best Practices can be quickly identified and propagated throughout China.
4. Review established processes and procedures and ensure that approved changes in standard practices are understood by Process Engineers and other plant personnel.
5. At Interiors plants oversee, verify, perform and stimulate:
-To support new JV set up or new business acquisition, provide the manufacturing assumption for the team, including the material usage, working time, budgetary price of the facility, equipments, tools etc.
-To define the process flow, PFMEA and control plan, production line layout for new JVs or new programs in JV launches.
-product manufacturing feasibility analysis
-To define the specification of equipment, tool, production line, related to interiors, i.e. slush molding/vacuum forming, compression molding, lamination & edge wrapping, foaming, cutting/trimming, welding & assembly for new programs.
-Machine, production lines MU/CU calculation
-exploitation of industrial engineering methods to determine the equipment cycle/assembly time
-recommendation regarding ergonomic improvements
-activities for continuous improvement process (KAIZEN, DO IT) and lean manufacturing
-new product launches
6. Recommends candidates for hire, promotion, demotion or transfer within their area of responsibility
7. Assist in establishing processes and practices that lead to accident prevention and good housekeeping practices. Analyzes problem areas, i.e., unsafe conditions, acts or equipment and take immediate action. If beyond his authority recommends possible solution.
8. Plan and organize training of Interiors personnel within China region to develop a solid knowledge base and to increase technological abilities.
9. Works with and supervises the Interiors operations to ensure correct, accurate and timely completion of production and delivery.
10. Assists in identifying staffing requirements to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding market.
11. Provides feedback to the organization on the status of production objectives.
12. Ensures strict compliance with Quality Control standards and promotes the company's reputation and image as a quality producer.
13. Manages in such a way as to promote and maintain a high level of trust and integrity with all employees.

Knowledge & Requirement:

Education Background:
Degree in Engineering (chemical or industrial)

Job experience:
1. Above 5 years experience as a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer
2. OEM or Tier One automotive interior work experience
3. High volume automotive interiors manufacturing engineering work experience, including slush molding/vacuum forming, compression moulding, lamination & edge wrapping, IP foaming, cutting/trimming, welding &assembly; Also injection moulding, heat staking, ultrasonic and vibration welding, laser scoring, flaming and interior assembly processes; IP, DP and FC; interiors experience in multiple processes; Knowledge of tooling design/approval
4. Proven experience with Quality Standards (QS9000, TS16949) and Manufacturing Operating Systems.

1. Strong computer and manufacturing simulation skills
2. CI and lean manufacturing
3. Interiors manufacturing process and Equipment
4. Plant layout using AUTO CAD
5. Tooling, Equipments, Fixtures selection, purchasing and installation

Language skills:
1. Mandarin fluent in speaking & in writing
2. English fluent in speaking & in writing


Others:
1. Decision maker with limited supervision
2. Be able to follow multiple tasks at various locations and do travel throughout China region.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary in order facilitate negotiations with Plant Management in Joint Venture environments
4. Goal setting, incentive and team player person
