About the department
Novo Nordisk is a focused healthcare company and a world leader in diabetes care. Novo Nordisk Research Centre China (NNRCC) is located in Beijing and is an integrated part of the Novo Nordisk R&D organization. Novo Nordisk wants to expand the research activities in China. Therefore new positions are being opened for qualified and motivated Research Associates with experiences within in vivo pharmacology.

The department consists of Rodent Pharmacology, Dog Pharmacology and Histopathology in Discovery Biology China (DBC) at NNRCC. The Dog Pharmacology team is responsible for supporting the diabetes and obesity research projects. We are a highly motivated team with high standards for our deliveries into the projects.


The position
We are looking for Research Associates with in vivo pharmacology experience and preferably with experience working with canines. The main responsibility of this position is to assist PhD-level Scientist with laboratory work, documentation and other tasks related to in vivo pharmacology studies. The main goal for the position is to, hands on, conduct and ensure high standard in vivo experimental work. The majority of the work time will be spent in the Animal Facility or laboratory planning and executing in vivo experiments as well as processing of data and reporting of results in collaboration with PhD-level Scientist.

Furthermore, the Research Associate will be expected to assist with the new model development and the implementation of new technologies. A high degree of flexibility and the ability to handle several tasks are expected.


Qualifications

• Master in Pharmacology, Medicine, Veterinary medicine or related biological background
• 2+ years of laboratory animal research experience and canine experience is preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge with hands on laboratory animal work in the field of in vivo pharmacology is preferred
• Good verbal and written skills in English are important
• Able to communicate and collaborate in a positive and motivating way
• Being proactive, a good team player and able to take responsibility beyond own tasks
• Be able to handle multi-tasks simultaneously
• Be able to meet deadlines, be flexible and result oriented
