Department/Function: China CP Regulatory & Stewardship

Location: Beijing,SBIC.

Syngenta is seeking a professional Expert to provide specialist technical expertise and advice across a broad area of ecotoxicology, risk assessment and/or environmental safety to support the achievement of regulatory targets in APAC especially in China.

Accountabilities
? Develop and implement robust regulatory strategies to support L&G-related portfolio of as-signed active substances and products in China through:
o effective management of relations and communication with ICAMA, Crop Life China on relevant topics and wider China Regulatory team
o effective partnership with APAC/Global Regulatory to facilitate business decisions and represent regulatory and safety positions
? Accountable to ensure timely and quality submissions and registrations in China according to the plan agreed with the China CP Regulatory Lead and APAC L&G Regulatory Lead, through partnership with “key stakeholders”
? Partner with Policy Team and rest of China Regulatory Team to contribute in key influencing objectives:
o work closely with CP to contribute to License to Operate (LtO) strategies on L&G top-ics (edible crop registration), through China CP Regulatory Lead
o provide high quality regulatory understanding and foresight to wider China/APAC Regulatory Team and “key stakeholders”, especially in the context of the new Regula-tion on Pesticide Administration
o communicate effectively developments in the regulatory environment and portfolio regulatory strategies to wider APAC/Global CP Regulatory and “key stakeholders”
o ensure provision of regulatory insights into competitor portfolios to “key stakeholders”
? Apply regulatory knowledge and expertise to support due diligence activities in relation to third party opportunities
? Provide expertise on “cross-indication” projects developed by the APAC Regulatory Portfolio Leadership Team

Critical Requirments:
?Post-graduate degree in Crop Protection, Ecotoxicology, Chemistry, and Environment Safety, plus 5 year experience in environmental science filed.
? Experience of technical project/programme leadership in Environmental Science.Significant experience in conducting and interpreting ecological effect studies and utilizing the data in risk assessments
? Experience in making and justifying interpretations of complex data bases for chemicals and across groups of related chemicals.
?Works independently, Excellent Advocacy and influencing skills
?Senses and adapts to the changing environment to achieve excellence in delivery
