Job Description:
The Senior Quality Engineer will be provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and developing suppliers with respect to technology, performance, quality, cost, logistics, and delivery. Planning, coordination and management of specific project deliverables attributable to production launch and ramp-up capacities. Collaboration with Product Development Team and other Departments to support the product development cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Review product changes for accuracy and correct approvals.
o Manage product deviations, FAIRs, and other quality issues.
o In collaboration with Product Teams help define minimum quality requirements for new products.
o Work in parallel with the product testing organization to evaluate products and assure compliance to the design specifications/intent, customer requirements, and any applicable industry standards or requirements.
o Develop sampling plans, when needed, by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.
o Document and audit processes and procedures to support the company Quality Management System.
o Work within Supply Chain to assure suppliers and their processes are capable of producing components and assemblies that meet specified requirements.
o Work within Supply Chain on-boarding suppliers as well as perform ongoing auditing and process improvements.
o Ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
o Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.


Required Education and Experience:
o Bachelor Degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline, such as Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial
o 3 - 5 years’ relevant working experience in their backgrounds;experience in soft goods, leathers, luggage etc. are preferable
o ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, or other ASQ certifications are preferred.
o Continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
Required Skills:
o Understand quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems and professional ethics.
o Fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.
o Understand the principles of product quality evaluation and control
o Thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.
o Understanding of audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.
o Understand principles associated with cost of quality concepts and techniques
o Technical understanding of products and manufacturing processes
o Proficient use of tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
o Ability to travel independently in domestic and international markets, up to 25%

o Ability to train and mentor others
o Use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices
o Ability to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments within the company and supply base to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
o Ability to develop and administer management information systems and to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
o Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
o Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver against timelines
o Deal with multiple issues simultaneously
o Ability to positively influence supplier quality performance
o Analytical problem solving capabilities and ability to draw insights from data quickly and to define executable actions
o Provide guidance and training to other quality personnel (Engineers, Technicians, Auditors, Inspectors, etc.) 举报 分享
