Lenovo is seeking a human factors researcher to join its User Research team located in the User Research Center in Beijing.

Responsibilities
Strategize, lead and conduct ground-breaking early design user research to aid our product design teams through early concept ideation
Plan and execute user research applying a variety of methods to uncover user behaviors / use cases / needs related to product ideation for the PC, mobile, or home environment
Create effective and compelling deliverables that clearly communicate insightful, actionable research results
Build-up and expand the teams’ current set of research methods for uncovering user insights through the application of human factors
Remain current in research trends in the areas of product design research and ethnographic methods
Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms with colleagues, management and external parties both in China, the U.S. and other countries
Travel as necessary

Position Requirements:
M.S. or higher in Human Factors, Psychology, Human Computing Interaction, or related field (required)
5+ years of experience planning, executing, and practicing human factors based, early cycle design research in the mobile or PC industry (required)
Professional and technical mastery of user-centered-design methods (required)
Creative and analytic thinker capable of distilling the question being asked into the right question to ask; the research findings into actionable, feasible recommendations (required)
Superb moderating and analytic skills (required)
Bilingual in Chinese and English (verbal and written)
Strong presentation skills and ability to convey complex research results to the executive level
Ability to work in fast-paced yet collaborative environment with other User Researchers, UX professionals, and Design counterparts
Highly organized, highly productive, and willingness to support multiple projects at the same time
A portfolio of design research samples and or demonstration of your process is required
This position is available in the Haidan office.
