Role purpose
 
Deliver cost effective automation control system services to maximize plant availability and operational efficiency, implementing and improving maintenance practices and associated support system in compliance with HSE, contribute to the automation team for team working and continues improvement
 
Accountabilities

Deliver cost effective automation control (DCS/PLC) system service to maximize plant availability and operational efficiency.
Implement and refine the agreed engineering strategy in line with site and company objectives.
Deliver effective team work and co-ordination to ensure speedy response to automation control system breakdowns and to consolidate preventive maintenance practice.
Supervising contracted engineering service to ensure safety and quality.
Maintain and improve PM system of the dedicated plant, ensuring most of maintenance work are implemented by plan.
Set up and improve automation system maintenance spare parts stock level for the dedicated plant.
Ensure team communication and site performance reporting.
Deliver engineering tutoring to the team to ensure good team performance.
Responsible for building and modify automation control system software in line with process modification and new project requirement.
Take personal responsibility for ensuring to follow and put into action the Quality Policy and Standards in everything to be done.

 
Qualifications
 
Critical knowledge
Bachelor's degree in automation, process control or related discipline
Knowledge of instrumentation, automation control (DCS/PLC) and SIS system
Knowledge of control bus
Knowledge of GB and IEC standard about automation
Specific knowledge of hazardous area and explosion proof
Knowledge of chemical process
Knowledge and understanding of HSE policy and regulations HSE
Critical experience
5 years instrument and automation engineering experience
2-3 years experience on automation control system maintenance supervision in a high complexity chemical plan
 
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
Quickly troubleshooting capability for instrumentation
Quickly troubleshooting capability for automation control (DCS/PLC) and SIS system
Good in English writing and reading, basic in speaking, Good in computer using
Interpersonal awareness and communication
Analytical Thinking and critical Information Seeking
