Position:
The growth strategy of Flash Global Logistics is focused on International growth in critical growing markets like China and India. The global mission critical parts industry is characterized by delivering services through a network of agents and partners. The Director Operations is responsible for the management of this network in APAC countries which includes the recruitment of new agents and the management of the existing network of agents.Flash delivers an end-to-end solution that includes 2 and 4 hour deliveries, next business day deliveries, Distribution Center services, transportation (within country and between countries), reverse logistics, network optimization as well as customer specific services related to the supply chain of each client.
To accommodate this growth and ensure a high level of service quality and KPI performance within the agent network, we are looking for an energetic Director with experience in supply chain operations related to after sales services and vendor management reporting to the VP of International Operations.

Responsibilities
? Develop an annual regional cost budget and business plan and execute against this budget/plan.
? Lead and manage a network of agents in countries in the APAC region through which Flash offers a wide range of supply chain services (“logistics operations”) in accordance with global standards and customer specific service level agreements
? Develop and implement supply chain solutions for new business from existing and new clients.
? Train the vendor network to deliver excellent service to customers using the cross functional resources of Flash in collaboration with the Agents
? Driveservice quality improvements across the APAC operationsby identifying and leading projects to improve operating processes.
? Improve and maintain a high level of compliance to Flash Logistics SOP and work instructions across the APAC agent network to allow predictable service levels through analyzing, fine-tuning and monitoring logistics, warehousing and customs processes for shipping and receiving activities to provide the highest levels of customer satisfaction (both internal and external).
? Improveregion profitability through vendorselection and development and vendor cost reduction where possible. The Director Operations is expected to conduct negotiations with the agents on an ongoing basis.
? Provide content expertise by participating in project teams that focus on the generation of new business from existing customers and/or generation of new business from prospective customers.
? Identify new agentsand replace underperforming agents and/or appoint agents in cities where the company does not yet offer a Forward Stocking Location or Distribution Center.
? Set direction and manage Flash Global Logistics APAC staff to achieve the above goals while being hands on actively involved in the tasks also – currently 3 positions total with more to be added later in the year

Requirements / Experience
? Minimum 8 years experience in supply chain management roles (international experience a plus). At least 2 years in a managerial level role with strong exposure in service parts, Warehousing and Logisticsincluding setting the day-to-day activities of direct reports, managing expectations, goal setting and performance reviews
? Vendor management; proven experience managing agents, partners and/or vendors that were part of the company’s overall service offering.
? Experience in systematic process and quality-control
? Good knowledge of Chinese trade management / customs regulations – APAC cross border movements
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
? Fluent in English and Mandarin. Other Asian languages a plus
? PC experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook , Power Point , Visio, Project
? Six Sigma green belt certification a plus
? Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate time zone differences
? Proven Project management skills
